eMagStudio Statistics works in a way, where page related statistics are sent to the statistics server every time a page is flipped. This is done in an effort to strike the best possible balance between accurate statistics and use of bandwidth. When a reader opens an eMag, but decides to close it again immediately, or when a reader opens the eMag from a deeplink to one of the pages - then a difference between the number of recorded visits and page views on page 1 will be created. This does not mean that statistics are not accurate, but rather gives you a more detailed insight into the actual behavior of readers - since it is possible to read the the number of readers choosing to close the eMag immediately from the difference between these numbers.
